Students and employees of Nazarbayev University and its affiliated organizations, as well as external visitors can access Core Facilities labs and equipment in accordance with the Policy and Procedures for the Use of Core Facilities Laboratories and Equipment. Please review these guidelines for detailed access requirements via these links: [ENG], [KAZ], [RUS].
The table below outlines the different types of access available for laboratory entry and equipment operation:
Lab Safety:
Mandatory OSH Induction. All students and employees must complete a Health & Safety Induction before accessing Core Facilities labs and equipment. This mandatory training is organized by the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Department and can be completed either online or in person. The training covers essential safety protocols, lab conduct, and emergency procedures. Links to the OSH Department and training registration are provided [here]. For detailed information on additional required safety trainings, please consult the H&S Department directly.
Lab & Safety Trainings. Ensuring a safe working environment in Core Facilities laboratories is our top priority. Safety will never be compromised for speed or convenience. Every research activity conducted in our labs requires appropriate training, which may involve one or multiple sessions. Users must consult the responsible lab staff before starting new processes to ensure proper safety measures are in place.
